2021-2023

About

In 2021, the American Academy of Religion received a grant from the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion to bring together a group to discuss the state of disability pedagogy in theological and religious education in North America. Between 2021 and 2023, a group of scholars, students, and pastors who specialize in faith and disability met to discuss numerous topics, including: the opportunities and challenges of expanding disability pedagogy within our institutions, the experiences of disabled students in theological education, and the opportunities for increased collaboration and intersectional work within theological education that includes disability.   (DEI = Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion)
