The inclusive pedagogy certificate was designed by the AAR’s Status of People with Disabilities in the Profession Committee (PWD). The Committee invited members of the American Academy of Religion to participate in four webinars designed to enhance competency in teaching topics related to disability as well as enhance accessibility in the classroom. Participants learn from content experts and learn about disability-conscious pedagogy.
While initially designed as four live webinars, there also are recordings for those who could not attend synchronously. Certificates are awarded to those who view all four workshops, engage in related exercises, and complete evaluations of each workshop.
