The REL Toolbox
The REL Toolbox is designed to assist faculty members who are playing a leadership role in the wide array of departments and programs that comprise the study of religion-whether graduate or undergraduate, offering a major, a minor, or a concentration, stand-alone or a cross-disciplinary unit, and public or private.
The site, which is supported by the Department of Religious Studies at the University of Alabama (with assistance from the College of Arts & Sciences etech office), is sponsored by the American Academy of Religion‘s Academic Relations Committee, whose charge is to “promote attention to and develops resources for enhancing members’ professional development and the institutional forms within which the study of religion takes place.

Humanities Indicators :
The Humanities Indicators is a nationally recognized source of nonpartisan information on the state of the humanities, providing researchers and policy-makers with better tools to answer basic questions about areas of concern in the field. Maintained by the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, indicators include K-12 Education; Higher Education; Workforce; Funding and Research; and Public Life. Humanities in Higher Education Surveys
Analyze Humanities Departmental Surveys every five years. Results from the most recent fifth comprehensive survey are expected to be available in April 2025.
Humanities in American Life: A Survey of the Public's Attitudes and Engagement.
Results of the 2019 survey - the first nationally representative survey dedicated to understanding Americans’ engagement with and attitudes toward the humanities. Includes specific Insights for Religious Studies.
The National Humanities Alliance is a nationwide coalition advocating for the humanities on campuses, in communities, and on Capitol Hill.
