2025 ALHR Lecture 2: Emilie Townes at Temple University

Womanist ethicist Dr. Emilie M. Townes was this year’s lecturer for the 2025 American Lectures in the History of Religion series that took place in Philadelphia from February 19-21. Dr. Townes gave three lectures – one at the University of Pennsylvania, one at Temple University, and one at Palmer Seminary of Eastern University – on the topic “Premeditated Indifference.”

This lecture is titled “Colored Orneriness as Critical Companion to U.S. Democracy.”
