The
AAR’s Governance and Leadership Development Committee is pleased
to announce that the Vice President, Treasurer, At-Large Director, Status
Committee Director, and Student Director positions will be up for election in
2021.
Please
note: Nominations for board
positions to be elected in 2020 closed last year. This current open call cycle
is for nominations for board positions to be elected in 2021.
Nominations
for the Vice President, Treasurer, At-Large Director, Status Committee
Director, and Student Director positions must be received by 11:59 PM
Eastern Time on Tuesday, September 1, 2020.
To
be considered for any elected position, the following information is required:
- A brief biographical
sketch of no more than 200 words - A statement on your
candidacy for the position, between 450 and 500 words (e.g.,
what objectives and goals you would bring to the position) - Current curriculum
vitae
AAR
members may submit a self-nomination or a nomination of someone else.
Please note: If you nominate someone else and do
not have the nominee’s supporting material at the time of the nomination, you
need to contact your nominee to make sure that person submits the supporting
material. Your nominee will need to submit their materials by the deadline via
the online submission form. The AAR staff is not able to notify the nominee
and/or solicit the nominee for the supporting material.
Nominations
must be submitted through the AAR’s
Board Nominations Submission System.
The Governance and
Leadership Development Committee
determines the slate of candidates selected to stand for election.
