The AAR’s Governance and Leadership Development Committee has placed the following candidates for each open Board of Directors position on this year’s ballot. The candidates have provided biographies and statements. Listed here in alphabetical order, the candidates for the Board of Directors positions are:

• Contingent Faculty Director:    Ira Helderman(opens in new tab) and Tamisha A. Tyler(opens in new tab)
• Regions Director:                              Brennan L Keegan(opens in new tab) and Lora Walsh(opens in new tab)

We are using electronic voting for this election. All current AAR members will be sent an email message with a link to access the voting site along with their login details for the electronic ballot.

The email message represents the “key” to the electronic ballot and will be sent to the email address that you have provided in your AAR membership record.

The election will close at 6:00 PM Eastern Time on October 29, 2026.
