About the Event

Presented by the Chester Ronning Centre at the University of Alberta; co-presentation with the Religion and Ecology Program Unit of the AAR

Wild Women and Just Water brings together two leading voices in religion, ecology, and ethics for a wide-ranging public conversation on how women’s leadership, ecological knowledge, and moral imagination can help us face the challenges of the 21st century.

Kimberly Carfore is the founder of Wild Women, a nonprofit that integrates the humanities, arts, and sciences through outdoor, place-based practices that foster self-knowledge, resilience, and ecological responsibility.
Christiana Zenner, Associate Professor of Theology, Science, and Ethics at Fordham University, works in legacies of Catholic social teaching from an anti-colonial, feminist lens and water justice examining how ethics, power, and ecology shape struggles for equitable futures.
