About the Event

All times displayed are in Eastern Time Zone

For many early career scholars, the transition to full-time teaching often involves seriously confronting questions regarding syllabus design, assignment structure, classroom pedagogy, and student mentorship for the first time. This webinAAR will highlight the tools and resources that can aid in that transition.

Panelists will discuss how graduate programs may better prepare doctoral students for the responsibilities of teaching beyond the TA experience, as well as offer suggestions for where early career scholars might find additional resources beyond their graduate training.

This is another in a series of Academic Relations Committee (ARC) remote sessions that are offered each month; all these meetings tackle topics of direct relevance to the success of a department and each session is recorded and posted on the committee’s page at the AAR site.
