Media and Advertising Inquiries

The AAR works to connect journalists with scholars of religion whose expertise can provide valuable insight to their stories and research. We also offer many opportunities to advertise in our print and online communications, at our Annual Meetings, and on the job board we manage jointly with the Society of Biblical Literature.

We offer a few resources for journalists writing about religion in 5 Ways We can Help You Cover Religion.

If you are looking to speak to a religion scholar on a certain subject, or if you have questions related to the AAR, please contact  communications@aarweb.org.

If you are a member of the press attending the Annual Meeting and intend to write about one or more sessions, please check with each presenter/paper author you’d like to quote in your work. While the program is public information (and you can mention what is printed in the program), the research being presented is the author’s intellectual property and cannot be published in full or part without explicit consent. You can either reach out to presenters beforehand or check with them before/after the session at the AM. If you need any contact information, we are happy to pass that on to you. You should also be able to find contact information for most presenters in the Annual Meeting program.
