The AAR Status Committees invite AAR members of underrepresented groups to apply to participate in a year-long mentoring program that runs from August through July.
This program connects members in need of mentoring with experienced professionals. Applications for this program are accepted September through October.
Women's Mentoring Lunch
Co-sponsored by the Status of Racial and Ethnic Minorities in the Profession Committee and the Status of Women in the Profession Committee, the Women's Mentoring Lunch is held at each Annual Meeting. The lunch offers roundtable discussions on several topics of interest to scholars, with each table staffed by at least one mentor with relevant expertise. The lunch takes place on the Sunday of the Annual Meeting and requires a small fee, payable at the time of registration for the Annual Meeting, to cover a boxed lunch. Registration for the event opens in May.
