Tune in for a conversation with AAR leadership and two of our 2024 Student Research Grant Recipients, where they will discuss their projects and how they plan to use their funds to further their research. This will be a great opportunity for future applicants to learn about what sorts of research endeavors succeed in receiving support from AAR.

Caroline Perkins |Perkins is a student at the University of Oklahoma and her research project - "Trendy Evangelism and its Heteronormative Implications Within the Southern Megachurch" - is overseen by AAR member Deonnie Moodie.

Aik Sai Goh | Goh is a doctoral candidate at the University of Virginia and his research project is titled "Designing Buddhist Cosmologies: The Cases of Buddhist Museum Complexes in Greater China.”

Leela Prasad | Prasad is a professor of religious studies, and gender, sexuality and feminist studies at Duke University. Her work is at the intersections of religious studies, anthropology, history and literature. She was awarded a Guggenheim fellowship in 2023 and is currently the vice president of the AAR. In November 2024, she will become AAR's president.
