E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Chair Associate Professor of Religion, Psychology, and Culture
Phillis Isabella Sheppard, associate professor of religion, psychology, and culture in the Vanderbilt University Divinity School/Graduate Department of Religion, was honored with an endowed chair named for E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter.
"An endowed chair is a remarkable honor, the highest honor the university can bestow upon its faculty. I am pleased to recognize these distinguished scholars, who have made an indelible mark in their field,” Vanderbilt Chancellor Daniel Diermeier said.
