Hotel Reservations

The AAR & SBL have negotiated elite group rates at 7 hotels, all within walking distance of the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. You can only get the discounted group rate by reserving your room during the online registration process. Hotel room rates do not include the average of 16.75% hotel room tax. The single/double/triple/quadruple room designation denotes the number of room occupants, not the number of beds. 

Hotel reservations are available from Thursday, November 16 through Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Registration, Exhibit Hall, and most sessions will be held in the convention center. Some sessions as well as some Other Events will also be held in the Grand Hyatt, Marriott Riverwalk, Marriott Rivercenter, and Hilton Palacio del Rio.

Travel Discounts

Delta Airlines and United Airlines are the official carriers of the AAR & SBL Annual Meetings, and Budget is the preferred rental car supplier. For the benefit of our Annual Meeting attendees, discounts may be available depending on the dates and times you will be traveling to the Annual Meeting. To take advantage of these special discounted fares, make reservations directly through the respective websites listed below. Be sure to include the specific discount code bolded below. Discounts do not apply to certain restricted fares and exclude sale fare inventories and do not apply to the ‘pay now’ reservations. If you prefer a pre-paid discount, do not use the meeting or discount code. Pre-paid reservations have cancelation penalties, whereas using the discount above does not. If you book through a travel agency, be sure to give them the appropriate discount code.

United Airlines

Reservation Information: call your professional travel agency, book online, or call United Reservations Meetings Desk at 800-426-1122 and provide the Z
Code and Agreement Code. Booking fee is waived for all Meeting reservations.

Local Transportation

There are no airport shuttles to the San Antonio Riverwalk area hotels. 

San Antonio offers various ground transportation options from the San Antonio Airport to the downtown area. For all things San Antonio International Airport including ground transportation, click here. 

Taxis

Taxi service is available throughout the city. From San Antonio International Airport to most downtown hotels, current fares are approximately $30-$40.00, one way.

Shared-Ride Car Service (such as Uber or Lyft)

There is one designated area for pickup. Look for the signs exiting the terminal. The average fare to downtown is $25, not including peak surcharges.
